Government Relations 101 for Nonprofit Organizations
During this session, led by Eileen Lynch as Chief of Staff to State Senate President Don Harmon, we will talk about how to build relationships with legislators and their staff, and how it is crucial for long-term advocacy success. She will share how over time you can cultivate these relationships by staying in touch, providing updates on your organization's activities, and offering to serve as a resource on relevant issues.
Eileen Hattan Lynch became Committeewoman for the Democratic Party of Oak Park in April 2019 and has been involved with Democratic Party politics for over 25 years. As Committeewoman, she advises on policy, communications, and outreach to the community and the party membership. She has been the Chief of Staff to Senator Don Harmon since 2013.
