Oak Park has always led with love. As one of the most LGBTQ+ inclusive communities in the country, we're proud to host Out in the Burbs—a vibrant, joyful celebration of identity, equity, and togetherness.

Born from a Thursday night block party, this event has grown into a full-day festival featuring live music, drag performances, local vendors, family-friendly programming, and dancing in the street. It’s a chance to come as you are, support values-driven businesses, and build community.

Whether you're a long-time ally or a member of the LGBTQ+ family, Out in the Burbs is your invitation to celebrate, connect, and make some unforgettable memories right here in Downtown Oak Park.​
