Bio:
Amanda Gosnell is the Executive Director at The Sheridan at River Forest, the area’s newest senior living community on Harlem and Chicago Avenue. More than just a stunning environment, the Sheridan’s assisted living and memory care programs are known for their exceptional hospitality, innovative programming and personalized care.
Amanda has a lifelong passion for serving seniors, beginning with her own "Gogo". In her grandmother's journey through Alzheimer's disease, Amanda experienced senior living firsthand and felt a calling to become an advocate for creating joy and peace of mind in the lives of all seniors. Amanda began her career in senior living working in a variety of front-line roles, and has since served in several leadership positions, including Director of Sales, Executive Director, and Regional Operations.
Amanda is a graduate of Wheaton College with a dual degree in Business and Sociology. She lives in the Arts District of Oak Park with her husband David and daughters Laina (6) and Kaia (4). Besides chasing her children around, Amanda enjoys traveling, trying new foods, staying involved in her church and community, and spending time outdoors.
