Bio:
Heidi Ruehle has spent most of her career in non-profit work, primarily in fundraising and development serving refugees, families and the homeless until moving into the world of historic preservation in 2013.
She was named as executive director of the Unity Temple Restoration Foundation in 2018 and manages all of the administrative, programmatic and fundraising responsibilities. Heidi serves as the Vice-President of the 20th Century Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright World Heritage Council (since 2020), is a board member for the OPRF Chamber of Commerce (since 2019), and co-founded the United Village Arts Collaborative in Oak Park in 2019.
She received a B.S. degree in Interior Architecture and is currently pursuing her MPA through the University of Illinois. Heidi lives in Oak Park with her husband and 14-year-old boy and girl twins, all of whom have been required to tour more than their fair share of historic house museums.
