Welcome to 2023! Thank you for making the inaugural year of the OPRF Chamber's BIPOC Affinity Group a success. We look forward to you joining us each month as we stay connected with Latinx, Asian-American, Black and indigenous peers from the OPRF business and nonprofit community!

Join us on September 25th, 2023, at Estillos Barber Studio for an enriching and inclusive event hosted by the BIPOC Affinity Group as we come together to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage.
Enjoy a vibrant evening filled with delicious food and drinks as we gather in the welcoming atmosphere of Estillos Barber Studio. We are delighted to have the owner, Oscar, share his inspiring personal journey and experiences with us.
Our keynote speaker for the evening will be Patricia Santoyo-Marin, Deputy Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for the Illinois Central Management Services. Patricia's expertise and passion for DEI initiatives promise to make this event both enlightening and impactful.

Meet Patricia Santoyo-Marin, Deputy Director of Diversity and Inclusion at the Illinois Department of Central Management Servies
Patricia is an experienced Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Access practitioner with demonstrated success in government, higher education, and non-profit sectors throughout urban and rural Illinois. She currently serves as the Deputy Director for Diversity & Inclusion for the Illinois Central Management Services where she liaisons with the Governor?s Equity Office and leads efforts for over 40 agencies across the state.
With nearly 20 years of practice, Patricia is highly skilled in equitable policy promotion that recruits and retains diverse constituents. Prior to her role as the Deputy Director for Diversity and Inclusion at CMS, Mrs. Santoyo-Marin served as a Director for Diversity at multiple colleges and universities. She leads with strong academic and transparency delivery models which she has presented at Harvard University and included in her collaborative efforts with The White House of the United States.
Patricia holds a self-created undergraduate degree in Latina/o Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a graduate degree in Higher Education Leadership for a Global Society from Northeastern Illinois University and fellowships from University of Chicago and Illinois Institute of Technology.
Mrs. Santoyo-Marin is a native of Back of the Yards and West Lawn neighborhoods of Chicago?s southwest side and currently resides in Kankakee with her husband and extended family.Paid parking is available on Madison Street and Free nearby side streets.
