Nonprofit Affinity Group / Finding Balance to Bring Your Best to Your Life and Your Nonprofit in the New Year
The Chamber's Nonprofit Affinity Group gathers the first Thursday of most months to connect with each other and benefit from some professional development. This month we'll start at 12:30 pm with informal social time, then have our presenter begin at 1 pm. We welcome you to join us!
This month: A workshop and learning session
Nonprofit work can be extremely rewarding. But, pouring your heart and soul into your nonprofit’s mission, the ongoing push to fulfill board goals and strategic plans, and working long hours to get everything done can sometimes leave you with little time and energy for more and, if unchecked, can lead to burnout. Discover something about yourself through a workshop exercise as you explore how to balance life and advocate and care for yourself, so you can be at your best at your nonprofit and beyond.
WHO IS OUR PRESENTER?
Marcy Miller, consultant with CollectiveWorks Consulting. CollectiveWorks Consulting was founded to break down real and artificial barriers between and among people. Marcy's focus has always been on the individual - helping you grow personally and professionally. Empathy, listening, and integrity have guided her career as a nonprofit executive director, and as an educator, coach, speaker, and artist. She continues to bring people of diverse backgrounds together in nonjudgmental work environments helping every person and the organization thrive!
