OPRFHS Empty Bowls

Every year the OPRFHS Wheel-throwing club, entirely comprised of high school students, run and organize the annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser. Hundreds of bowls are made by students, community pottery studios, and local artists. Students reach out to local businesses and restaurants for soup and bread donations.

For one night community members come to the main entrance of OPRF and receive a handmade bowl, get locally donated soup, and join each other for a shared meal. All proceeds go to different organizations that help fight hunger: Beyond Hunger, Housing Forward, Global Alliance for Africa, and World Central Kitchen.
