About Us
Birth Roots Community Midwifery was established in 2023 to fill a gap in the local home birth world. We are proudly inclusive in our care for clients across the gender spectrum; welcoming to clients of any and no faith traditions; supporting clients in all kinds of familial configurations (solo parents, blended families, and polyamorous individuals and families); and offer care with a Health at Every Size (R) approach.
As a small practice, Birth Roots is also uniquely situated to provide individualized care, offering hour-long midwife visits that never feel rushed, and are packed with education and support for the client as a whole person. Clients have access to their midwife between visits, and we also can offer home visits when needed. While we are small, we also keep our services professional, with Electronic Medical Records for client involvement in their own care, a professional biller, HIPPA-compliant telehealth, labs drawn in the visit, and easy scheduling.
We support our clients to achieve an empowered, respected birth in the comfort of their own home. Our package also includes extensive postpartum care for client and baby, with two home visits, one telehealth visit, and a 6 week office visit -- more than any other local home birth practice offers -- and essential for physical and emotional recovery.
Additionally, care with a Nurse Midwife isn't just for pregnancy -- clients can benefit from reproductive and basic primary care across the lifespan, including annual well person exams and concerns visits. We also offer low-intervention fertility support for IUI.Images

View Personal BioMx. Corinne WestingHi! I'm Corinne (they/them). I'm a Certified Nurse Midwife with over 10 years of experience attending births at homes, hospitals, and birth centers, as well as providing reproductive health care across the lifespan. My passion is supporting clients that are active participants in their health, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys, and helping folks be empowered to make the best health decisions. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA community, I love to work with fellow queer and trans individuals and families for all of my services, and also have a special interest in mental health.
Although I'm on call 24/7 for my clients, in my spare time, I am an avid sourdough baker, fairly low-key native plant gardener, adventurous hiker, and a proud mamx to an awesome pre-teen (born at home with the support of a midwife).Mx. Corinne WestingMidwifeTell a Friend
